Pirelli (Milano, Italy) 4 roll inverted L Heavy Duty Calender,    Roll dimensions 1650mm wide x 700mm dia.    Maximum finished product width 1500mm, Original year of manufacture: 1980,    Refurbished and installed by Comerio Ercole in 1999 (at Dayco in Belgium),    Peripherally drilled rolls with rotary joints fitted,    Hydraulic roll bending and pre-loading to all 4 rolls,   Bronze bush (Sleeve type) bearings with flood lubrication,      Motorised nip adjustment,    Adjustable guides to top nip and lower nip.    Full unidrive gearbox with flexible couplings to each roll. Gearbox make: WGW, type SSC700/4, no. 42842/8000, Speed N-95, N/N1 1500/13.65 rpm. Individual flange mounted 70kW, 1500/100rpm, 440V, 168A DC variable speed motor to each roll for fully variable roll speed and friction. Calender speed max 30m/min, Motorised oil lubrication with gravity return (pump/tank mounted in  pit under the calender.    Complete with electrical controls (Siemens S5 plc). Make: Electronica Santerno (Italy) CRM90 DC drives fitted and Siemens S5 PLC Control.
