The Shaw (UK) 24in (610mm) x 68in (1730mm) 3 roll vertical stack calender is currently being overhauled on our workshop floor.

To be supplied ‘overhauled’, stripped down, checked over/serviced, cleaned/painted and fitted with NEW 110kW AC motor, NEW Inverter drive panel for variable speed (Invertek make or similar), NEW operator controls (with Siemens S7-1200 PLC and HMI), and new safety compliant with PUWER. Re-assembled/tested

Full Specification : Original year of manufacture: 1960’s (not CE marked) Motorised nip adjustment, Cored rolls with rotary joints for heating/cooling, Manually selectable even and friction speed gears, Phosphor Bronze Sleeve type bearings (all recently replaced), Automatic bearing lubrication system, Currently with 125HP, 960rpm DC variable speed motor, Bullgear and pinion drive (6.5:1 ratio) with Sturdigear reduction gearbox (9.32:1 ratio), Pneumatic disc brake. Previously used for rubber conveyor belting (ex Fenner Dunlop UK). Very good mechanical condition
